Event area in the basement at Norma Design your own butterfly—this butterfly appears to defy gravity, balancing with its nose on your finger or on an object. You can take this butterfly home with you afterward; artist Rainer Schoch will help you design your own personal butterfly. Ten years ago, artist Rainer Schoch launched his project: “A Butterfly of Hope,” because their skin is as fragile as a butterfly’s wings. In collaboration with the Fondation Enfants Papillons, Dr. Elisabeth Gianadda, and Jean Zermatten, past president of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child, he developed this butterfly-themed placemat. At the time, purchasing this item supported research into the butterfly disease (epidermolysis bullosa) and treatment for children with the condition, giving them hope. All you need is fun and a good mood. We have great colored pencils with glitter.
