Svetlana Sidorenko is a neurologist, Doctor of Medicine, a full-time doctor at the Clinic Bad Ragaz, and an artist whose paintings reflect her deep and empathetic nature. Since early childhood, she has drawn inspiration from the natural world, her personal surroundings and her fellow human beings, representing them in her own unique manner: from close-ups of natural forms in detailed still-lifes to the broad canvas of the sea and the landscape. To this end, she focuses on the colourful interplay between naturalistic and expressive styles, which she harmoniously melds into her paintings. She consciously uses colour and form to embody intense emotions: love, passion, positivity, inner tranquillity, yearning, curiosity and harmony are all expressed in her works and imparted to the viewer. Her paintings have previously been exhibited in Germany (Karlsruhe, Durmersheim, Weingarten), in Moldova (Chisinau), in Ukraine (Vinnytsia) – the countries where she grew up - and in Switzerland at the 2021 Künstlerplattform event in Pfäfers and had in 2022 her inaugural exhibition im Verkehrshaus in Lucerne. She paints boldly and from the soul in oils, water-colours, acrylics and pastels.
Svetlana founded Art-Lana and with the initiative “Wir helfen” – she supports orphanages and retirement homes in her home country – Moldova.
